Why hello there people of deviantart. It has come to my attention that I havn't updated my journal in quite some time, so I'm here at 4:41am writing up a new one. Also, I'm being somewhat forced to write one by :iconsinsorrowandmisery:

So what to write about? Well, let's see what's been going on with me in the past few months.
I've started playing WoW, well more than started. I've been playing since May and at the moment I have an 80 paladin, a 60 hunter, a 36 warrior and a few other not as important alts. Oh and by the way, I'm Horde all the way.

I've also gotten into the beta for Heroes of Newerth. For those that don't know, it's a stand alone DotA. Literally. The creators of DotA are working with S2 Games to make it and so far they're doing an excellent job. I'm still waiting for them to add in Phantom Assassin though :P

Not too much else is going on at the moment. I'll be going on stage in about 6 months from now. Not sure where I'll be headed for that yet though. I originally tried getting a stage in Vancouver, but they were only taking 2 students, so I wasn't able to get in unfortunately.

Ok, that's enough for now.
Goodnight people of Deviantart!

I got CS4!
Yea, that's about it. I got myself the CS4 master collection through means I shall not say =P. I havn't gotten around to trying out everything yet, but probably the biggest change was with Flash. Bones. Bones! Bones!! BONES!!!!
Can you tell? I like the bones feature XD. This is seriously going to make my animating like a billion times easier, so hopefully I'll be making some soon and putting them up.
The over-all look of all the programs is also more clean and sleek looking which is a nice bonus.
Now, I should really be getting to bed...

Time for some updates

Yes thats right, it's time for some updates on what going on. It sure has been a while since Ive writen something =P
Right so first off, I'm now on winter break (and have been for about a week now). However, even though classes are over, I've had a couple projects due this week and next. One of them I'll be submitting here. It's very close to being completed and I'm very proud of it, but I wont give away anything else. :iconpkyofu: and I have been working on it almost non-stop since, well, last night XD.
Also, I've discovered a new band called Alestorm. It's Scottish pirate metal! XD
I'm also thinking of buying myself a tablet some time over the winter break, it would really help out in designing stuff.
Oh and not to mention its almost christmas and theres like a billion parties all break long =D

The Brawl Review

Yes, that's right, the review of Brawl that I've been putting off for about 5 months is finally here. So, I wont waste any more time with this intro and get right to it.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl, one of the most awaited Wii games ever, has been out for almost 5 months now. At first glance, everything about it seems better than its predecessors, game play, graphics, the whole package. I agree with the previous statement, that everything is better, however others say that Brawl is a step down from Melee because there is no wavedashing, the gameplay is slower etc. I prefer that wavedashing was removed, as it is not a real technique, but rather a glitch, but I wont get into that now.

The game has an excellent character selection, totaling 39 possible different characters to play as. Some clones, such as Dr. mario, Pichu and Roy were taken out, but others still remain, and there is even a new one. Ganondorf is still basically a Captain Falcon clone, as Falco is to Fox, but now we have Wolf, a third clone. Lucas, another Earthbound character was added in to accompany Ness. I actually much prefer Lucas over Ness, as his various attacks are more to my playing style. Lucario the aura pokemon replaced Mewtwo. Lucario is very good, but I will still miss Mewtwo. Roy was replaced with Ike, one of the most recent Fire Emblem main characters. I also like Ike very much, he's a very powerful character who has some pretty devastating moves, but like Mewtwo, I'll still miss Roy. The two third party characters are pretty interesting addintions, however I dont pay much attention to them. Snake is a far too over used character. And Pit...dont get me started on Pit. Let's just say that I despise him beyond comprehension.

Now for some talk on the adventure mode, the Subspace Emissary. The SSE is awesome. I absolutly love it. Great story, lots of action and a lot of pretty cool cut scenes. Destruction of the subspace warship anyone? If you dont want to play so many matches with "X" character or on "X" stage to unlock your brawlers, the SSE is great for that. It's also very good for getting hoards of stickers and trophies.

Multiplayer, which is what this games is about, is pwnsome. Get you and 3 friends playing, and you'll be entertained for a very long time. There's so many thing you can do also. For one, there's a nice selection of characters and stages. A lot of different items and new to this game, Smash Balls. Break the Smash Ball, and your character is granted some sort of very powerful ability, from driving around a tank to raining meteors down from the sky. Not to mention your own gameplay rules that you make up yourself, like DK in the middle or Capture the crate.

There's also this handy little feature known as the stage builder. Though limited in stage parts, there's a wide variety of stages that can be made. However, the stage builder I think, is one of the few bad features of Brawl. I think that they could have designed it better in my opinion.

Brawl online you say? This must be a miracle! Finally you can play smash bros against people without having to be in the immediet vicinity of each other. Yes, online play is an awesome feature, but it too, could have been better. You have two options: 1) you get your friend code, give to other people and get their friend codes. Once both have registered each other, you can brawl. 2) You play against complete strangers from anywhere in the world, you may or may not ever face them again. I'm not going to go into detail about the impovments I would have made, but I have a couple ideas.

Overall, Brawl is an absolutly excellent game. I highly recommend it to anyone who has a Wii. Though there are a couple things which could have been better, the positive things about the game outweigh it. One main thing I would have liked to see is at least one more Metroid character. I don't count Zero Suit Samus as a second one, as its the same character as armoured Samus. Perhaps Dark Samus(who I have a moveset for so she wont be a clone) or maybe Rundas. Nevertheless, I will keep on brawling until the next Smash bros.

End of the year

Well, I've made it through my first year of college. At this moment I'm sitting in my drawing software class, and I just finished presenting the "Legend of the Master Sword" project which I submitted last night here. The whole class loved it.
Once this class is over (approx. 12:30), I'll be done with school until late august. And, at 1pm today, is the college's end of year carnival-type thing called spring fest, so I'll be there this afternoon.
Over the summer I plan to brawl a lot, at right now I just remembered that I was supposed to post a review of brawl a week after it came out, but I guess I kinda got distracted by...brawl XD. I would also like to get a job this summer, so I can donate to the buy-me-a-new-computer-fund because the one I have right now drives me crazy because it's so old and slow, which makes it really hard to work on photoshop, illustrator and such. I cant write the review right now because I'm too psyched to get home and be free for the summer, so I'll do that later,
Anyways, I'm off to get more praise from my classmates XD.
